You can change not only the content of your store's footer, but also the arrangement of the footer, i.e. its overall structure. The layout of the footer has a big impact on the customer experience. It can make navigation easier, so your customers can find what they're looking for more easily.
Overview of different footer layouts
You can choose between two layouts: row layout and column layout.
Column layout
This layout displays the contents of the footer in horizontally stacked rows. It is best suited if you want to display a smaller number of items in the footer:
Column layout
This layout displays the contents of the footer in vertical order in columns with spindles. The column layout in the footer is best suited when you want to display a larger number of items in a clear and structured way.
The different sections are divided into their own columns. Please note that some sections are displayed in a single column, however. Under the tab "Sub-item sections", you can see which section is displayed in which column.
You can also edit the titles of individual sections.
Editing the footer layout
Editing the layout of the footer is easy:
- Go to "Editor" in the admin sidebar
- Select "Set footer" from the bottom bar
- A tab will open, and you will be able to edit the different parts of the footer
- You can choose the layout of the footer that suits your online shop: line layout or column layout
- Once you have chosen the appropriate layout, click "Save".
You have now changed the layout of the footer. If you want to edit it again, you can make additional settings in the bottom bar of the Editor.
